Todd Boehly's actions that showed he is the perfect Roman Abramovich substitute.

It's been over one month   since the Boehly- led official takeover of Chelsea Football Club and his takeover is looking promising as the Blues have already completed major signings, with others underway.  New additions at the Wing with the likes of Raheem Sterling, and defensively, with the likes of Koulibaly and the incoming Presnel Kimpembe were deals probably no Chelsea fan saw coming, and the Blues are over the moon. With this, Todd Boehly has not only fulfilled his promise of reinforcing the Chelsea Male team, but has won the hearts of millions of Chelsea fans, as it was no different from what was witnessed in the Roman Abramovich era. Todd Boehly has not only reinforced the team, but has brought the Chelsea Management in sync with the players as he was spotted having a pep talk with the players while on tour at Los Angeles, before getting involved in the team training:      Todd Boehly talking to the squad.  Hopefully, this one-on-one relat...

Chelsea set to complete one more signing after Koulibaly deal.

The Blues are actively back in the transfer market, having completed the signing of Raheem Sterling, with Kalidou Koulibaly underway.  But they are not done yet. According to reports, Chelsea are looking to strengthen their defensive options with one more Center-back signing and have begun negotiations for PSG's Presnel Kimpembe. According to football.london, Chelsea are about to announce the signing of Napoli centre-half Kalidou Koulibaly, after agreeing a £34million deal. Ake and Presnel Kimpembe were meant to be the next through the doors after the Senegal international, but a last-minute decision from the new Chelsea ownership has suddenly thwarted these plans. Chelsea failed to meet the requirements to sign Ake from Manchester City and the 27 year old will remain at his club, as per David Ornstein. Chelsea will now focus on Presnel Kimpembe as alternative. Tuchel will still hope that the Paris Saint-Germain defender will join him in London as the two established a good relatio...

"I will remain at Chelsea, and I don't see that changing." — Chelsea star claims.

Reece James has declared his intention to remain at Chelsea amid interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid.  Earlier, Nigel James, Reece James father had stated his son's intentions to be Chelsea's Captain:  "The part where I will be emotional is the day he becomes Chelsea captain. “That’s his ambition and mine as well. Reece has been at Chelsea since he was six. There hasn’t been a player who has been there that young and worn the armband. “The goal is to be the man that, when you hear Chelsea, you think Reece James.” Nigel James told The Byline . This statement from Nigel James is a huge statement of intent and suggests Reece could stay at the club and become the next big star rather than leave. However, Reece James' recent statement have not only affirmed his father's thoughts, but has committed his long term future to Chelsea, which in turn has left Chelsea fans with every reason to stay calm over worries for his future. Asked if he was likely to remain at ...

Koulibaly could be Chelsea's new John Terry.

With Kalidou Koulibaly on the verge of completing a transfer to Chelsea, with contract all signed, we take a look at the numbers available to him at Chelsea, including the Legendary number 26 shirt worn by John Terry during his Chelsea days.  The first place to look for hints as to which number he will wear, is his shirt history in Italy. For the entirety of his nine seasons in Naples, Koulibaly sported the no.26 top. This immediately springs thoughts of Chelsea's John Terry. The retired defender was Chelsea's last wearer of the shirt and unsurprisingly, nobody has risked the pressures that would come with having it since he left the club in 2017. The no.26 isn't officially retired by the club so it is thought that it would be open to Koulibaly, should he want it. There are other options that have been opened within the Chelsea squad though. Not only have Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left the no.2 and no.4 spot vacant, but with the future of Jorginho being uncert...

£98m rated Chelsea star reveals joining Chelsea was a mistake.

Chelsea Loanee, Romelu Lukaku has claimed leaving Inter for Chelsea was a mistake. The Belgian striker made a big-money move to Stamford Bridge during the summer of 2021, but finds himself back in Italy 12 months later.  Lukaku struggled to adjust to the tactical demands of Thomas Tuchel in west London, leading to just 15 goals in 44 appearances. It was quickly determined that a loan switch to San Siro would be the best option for all concerned. Speaking in an event to present Inter’s new kit for the 2022-23 campaign, Lukaku said: “The biggest challenge of my career will be this season here. I left. It was a mistake. “Now I am happy to be wearing this jersey, the team knows what we need to do, it’ll be a great challenge this season and we need to continue like this. “I realised last season when I was in England, just how important Inter are in the world. The club’s profile is improving on an international scale, the social media approach is really important too and you can s...

The first player in history to shout on N'Golo Kanté!

N'Golo Kanté is arguably the most loved footballer in the world. But only one man dared to shout at him: The Governor.  DIEGO COSTA! And guess what, it was over a game! A football game!  Back in 2017, N'Golo Kanté and Diego Costa, including Chelsea skipper, Cesar Azpilicueta, were caught up in a hotel, presumably somewhere in Bournemouth, ahead of the club's Premier League away clash on Saturday, playing FIFA 17. Witnessing this game of FIFA are several Chelsea players, including Willian. Oh, for some reason, Costa is shirtless. We're not entirely sure what happens, but at some point Costa decides to drop his controller and go absolutely mental at Kante... in Portuguese. Kante, who probably doesn't understand Portuguese, simply sits there and smiles.

"We had to stop him!" Vardy reveals how Leicester City stopped Kanté from running habit.

Leicester City star, Jamie Vardy has revealed how N'Golo Kanté's ritual of running to training was stopped. Kanté, is no doubt, the most loved footballer on the planet, as tales told about him leave one in awe and admiration of the humble midfielder.  His former teammate, Jamie Vardy has revealed how N'Golo Kanté would run everyday to training while full of praise for the 29 year old: “What a pleasure it was to play alongside N’Golo!" Vardy said to L'Equipe.  "He is an adorable guy alongside being a fantastic footballer: when we lost the ball, wherever that happened on the pitch, boom, he would appear and win it back for us. "In training, it was so easy for him that I was convinced that he intentionally gave the ball away sometimes just to enjoy winning it back again. "One day he said to us that he was seriously considering running to the training centre each day, which came from the fact that he would always add a little running session for himself....

'Best in the world!' Jay Jay Okocha hails Edouard Mendy.

Premier League Icon, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has hailed Edouard Mendy's impact at the just concluded African Cup of Nation games (AFCON), explaining why he deserved to win the goalkeeper of the tournament.  Mendy won the best goalkeeper of the tournament, over Egyptian star, About Gabal and Okocha, who won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 1994, believes he is now the best goalkeeper in the world. Speaking to Supersport, Okocha said of Mendy: ‘Since he signed for Chelsea his potential came out and we knew little about him before then, ‘It shows when you are in a good league, when you are competing every week you keep improving. ‘He showed in this competition that it’s not a fluke that he’s the best goalkeeper in the world and I think that award must have gone to him because of the amount of clean sheets that he kept. ‘If you don’t concede goals you give yourself the possibility of winning matches and when it matters the most he saved that penalty to give his nation to o...

Mason Mount sets target for next season.

Setting targets ahead of a new season is no new thing from Chelsea's Mason Mount. Before the start of the just concluded season, he had set a 10-goal target for himself and had ended up scoring a total of 13 goals and provided 16 assists in all competitions and helped the Blues lift both the Super Cup and Club World Cup.  His superb performances resulted in him earning the club’s Player of the Season award for the second year running, confirming his place as one of, if not Thomas Tuchel’s most valuable player.  Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Mount said on his target for the incoming season:  “I set targets for what I want to achieve goals-wise, assists-wise, competitive-wise as a team. “If I reach those targets then I know that my level is going to be high and I'm going to be performing. "That's what I look at and when I sit down before a season and try to set my targets, I want to achieve more. That's always been my goal and my focus before a season.”  ...
