"I would love to coach Chelsea in the future." — £110,000 per-week Chelsea defender reveals.

The Chelsea defender has revealed his plans to coach the Blues in the future.

Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva has expressed his desire to be Chelsea's coach in the future.

The Blues return to Champions League action tonight, where they will face AC Milan in the return leg following a 3-0 win in the first leg.

Thiago Silva was placed alongside Graham Potter for a pre-match briefing. Speaking to the media, Thiago Silva revealed that it could be a probability for him to be Chelsea coach in the future.

He said when asked if he could return to AC Milan, per Football.London:

"I have already made my history here at AC Milan, so this isn't the case here anymore at the moment. If this could've happened, it should've been before I joined Chelsea. But I don't know about the future. Who knows what will happen. We will have to think then.

"I am very happy to be at Chelsea, a very big club great professionals. In the future, we will see, maybe [I will come back] as the coach. Who knows."

Thiago Silva's contract expires in June, and here is what the Chelsea veteran had to say when asked about an extension:

""It is not the right time to talk about new contracts, so I can not accurately answer this question. For me now, what is important is to continue playing to the high level and helping the team achieve the best possible results.

"For sure, there will be the time where we will need to talk. It could be before the World Cup or after the World Cup because, of course, I need to know whether I will have a new contract with Chelsea for my family arrangements.

"It is not easy. If I won't have a new contract, I will have to decide what to do, and also, for my family, this is an important decision, so we will see what will happen."

With the way he has managed the Chelsea defense with pure class and experience, no doubt, it is the desire of all Chelsea fans to see him extend his Chelsea contract, and return as Coach in the nearest future.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
