Huge boost for Chelsea as three injured stars declared 'fit' for AC Milan clash on Wednesday.
Following a live open training session ahead of the Blues' clash with AC Milan on Wednesday, Graham Potter spoke to the press on the team news for the coming Champions League clash.N'Golo Kanté, Edouard Mendy, Marc Cucurella and Carney Chukwuemeka had missed out of the Blues' Premier League clash against Palace at Selhurst Park last week.
Kanté had been recuperating following an injury from the Blues' clash with Tottenham earlier this season. Marc Cucurella had also missed out on recent action with the Blues following a throat problem that had seen him hospitalized.
Per Nathan Hissing, Cucurella was discharged, and returned to training on Tuesday.
In fact, all four stars returned to training this week and Blues' head coach, Graham Potter has updated on all four of them, including the team news to face AC Milan tomorrow.
Speaking to the Club's official website, Potter said:
"Edou is training with the team and has made good progress. He will be in the squad and it's great to have him back." Potter said of Edouard Mendy.
He also reported a few minor injury doubts ahead of the clash against the Italian giants:
"Jorginho felt some discomfort in his abdominal area against Crystal Palace but he trained today. We'll see how he reacts and take a decision later today.
"Kai Havertz had a slight feeling, but he trained today.
N'Golo remains out, however:
"NG is training more and more and still not fully. He is getting closer and that's positive.
"The quicker he's back, the better. It's a case of building him up. We have to be careful with how we build his minutes up. We have to be careful with him and we are under control with that."
That said, Carney Chukwuemeka, Edouard Mendy and Marc Cucurella are no doubt fit for our Champions League clash against Milan tomorrow!
