"He's the strongest opponent I've faced so far!" — Rafael Leao hails 'aggressive' Chelsea star after AC Milan clash.

The Chelsea target has hailed one Blue player as the strongest opponent he has faced so far.

Reece James has been lauded as "aggressive" following the Blues' 3-0 win over Italian side, AC Milan.

The England international become the youngest player in his club’s history to score and assist in a Champions League game, teeing up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Chelsea’s second before smashing in a third in a 3-0 win.

Wesley Fofana had earlier opened the scoring for the home side to set Graham Potter on the way to his first European win in charge of the club he took over last month. With Chelsea sitting bottom of their group prior to kick-off, the three points are vital.

Leao, a move for whom was considered by Chelsea during a frantic summer of transfer activity at Stamford Bridge, impressed even despite Milan’s loss but was largely well-marshalled by James in the second-half.

Manchester United Legend and BT Sport Pundit, Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for Reece James with the way he handled Leao:

“What I loved about Reece James in the second half is he was aggressive with Rafael Leao. He said ‘I’ll defend you and also be an effective player at the other end of the pitch’.

"The difference with Reece James, he wants the fight. On the ball I think he’s equally as good as Trent Alexander-Arnold and defensively he’s a lot sharper. He defends a lot better than Trent in one v ones."

Reece James' performance is one Leao will not forget in a hurry, as the Blues' right-back is arguably the toughest he must have faced this season!

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
