Graham Potter has provided the latest injury news ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash with Wolves.
The Blues' new head coach saw his first win at home on Wednesday evening against AC Milan and will be hoping to swiftly back it up with a second, and a third consecutive win overall. If recent history is anything to go by, Chelsea will have their work cut out after three consecutive draws with this weekend's opponents, and no win since July 2020.The West Midlands side come into the fixture managerless after Bruno Lage was relieved of his duties, with coaches Steve Davis and James Collins preparing the team to face Chelsea. Wolves have just one win so far this season and have scored just three times in their opening eight matches, leaving them 18th in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the clash at the Bridge, Potter confirmed Marc Cucurella fit for Wolves while providing the latest team news:
"Wesley's [ Fofana's] injury is not as bad as we first thought, so that is good. After the game, I was concerned, but it will be a few weeks. It is considerably better than it would have been.' Potter said of Fofana.
"There's a possibility he would play before the World, Cup in Winter. It depends on how his rehabilitation goes." Potter added to the Club's official website.
On Kanté, he said:
"He is doing more integration with the team but is still not ready for the weekend. He is getting closer."
On Cucurella, Potter confirmed:
"He has fully recovered now and he just needed time. He was on the bench against AC Milan and he will be involved tomorrow."
