The Chelsea midfielder is open to extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Mason Mount is reportedly currently waiting for Chelsea to offer him a new long-term deal.
The London giants announced on Monday, Sept 5th that Reece James signed new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2028.
Mount is allegedly next in line for an extension alongside with Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there have been talks for ‘a long time’ over his future.
Romano suggests that the midfielder is currently waiting for the Blues to submit their final proposal, with talks set to resume in the near future.
Next Chelsea player to discuss new deal will be Mason Mount. Talks are already in place since long time and he’s waiting for the club to send new, final proposal. 🚨🔵 #CFC

The 23-year-old midfielder was again a key player for the Blues during the 2021-22 season, making 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists in the process.
The attacker’s contract only has two years left to run, though, and he is believed to be one of the lowest-paid players at Stamford Bridge despite his status.
Over the summer, Mount revealed that he was “very happy” at Chelsea and was hopeful to extend his stay at the club.
“After the last game of the season we had a little get-together at the hotel and he [Todd Boehly] was there with the rest of the consortium, it was good to meet them in person and speak to them all,” Mount told the Evening Standard at the time.
“It’s so exciting what the future holds. It’s an unknown but the way it’s started is really exciting to see what’s going to happen.
“We’re a team that over the last ten years has been up there and pushing and that is where we want to stay. Speaking to them about their goals and aims, we’re on the same page.
“So hopefully that continues. I’ve got two years left on my contract and I’m very, very happy here. Those talks will hopefully be starting soon.”
Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd have all previously been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old midfielder, who has made 166 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 31 assists.
