OFFICIAL: Brighton Captain joins Chelsea; pens emotional farewell note to club fans.

Brighton legend Bruno has penned an emotional goodbye to the club’s supporters after joining Chelsea alongside Graham Potter.

The former defender joined the south coast club in 2012 and played a major role in their 2017 promotion to the Premier League, forming a close bond with fans across almost a decade of service.

In total, the Spaniard made 235 for Brighton and captained the club for years before his retirement in 2019. After calling time on his playing career, the former Valencia full-back joined the coaching staff.

Still, his association with Brighton came to an end last week when Potter left the Amex Stadium for Stamford Bridge.

Bruno, along with Potter’s assistant Billy Reid, fellow first-team coach Bjorn Hamberg, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts and transfer guru Kyle Macaulay have made the journey up to west London as part of a rebuild.

Taking to social media, Bruno wrote: “I’m heartbroken, probably like some of you. I have the same feeling as when I left home at 14; sure about my decision, but broken inside.

“What these ten years have shown me is that football is more than ninety minutes. Of all the unimportant things, football is the most important.

“What players, staff at the Amex, staff at the training ground, fans and the community have given me is unforgettable. Thank you.

“I’ve given my heart and soul for this club and I would like to think that I’ve helped to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in a better place than when I arrived.

“There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are you will always be in my heart. Your amigo, Bruno.”

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
