"He's bad for football!" — International Manager explains why Thiago Silva is bad for football.

‘He’s bad for football’: International manager says Thiago Silva is so good it’s bad for other players.

Brazil manager Tite has claimed to GeGlobo that Thiago Silva’s absurd ability is a nightmare for other defenders in football.

The centre-back, who turned 38 today, has been continuing to defy the ageing process for a number of years now, with him joining the Blues in the twilight of his career in 2020.

Despite that, he has easily been the most important defender the Blues have had in that time, and he has been forced to play the majority of games this season due to how much the club rely on him.

His impact is similar for the Brazilian national team, with him still likely to lead his team out at this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.

They are one of the favourites for the tournament, and a World Cup win would be the perfect way to cap off a legendary career.

His future after the game looks set too, with Tite claiming he will become a great coach when his playing days are eventually over.

He said: “He will be a good coach. And he’s bad for football. Do you know why he’s bad for football? Because he makes things so easy and they’re hard as hell.

“He manages to make the clearest, most lucid, transparent decisions with impressive technical performance.”

Tite and Thiago Silva.

Silva has enjoyed another stellar start to the campaign this year, despite the issues Chelsea have faced so far.

The former PSG man will have been shaken by the sudden sacking of Thomas Tuchel, who has coached him at his last two clubs.

Silva’s reaction on social media said it all, with him clearly left emotional at the news earlier this month.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian still faces the challenge of being a great role model for however much longer he remains at Stamford Bridge to young defenders, with Wesley Fofana in particular sure to want to learn from the great man.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
