"I will score a free kick, 100%, if given the chance." - New Chelsea signing vows.

The new Chelsea signing believes he would score a free kick, "100%" if given the chance.

With Marcos Alonso set to leave the club, Chelsea are short of free-kick takers.

Mason Mount and Reece James are the current free-kick takers in the Chelsea team, but new signing Marc Cucurella has vowed to score if given the chance.

Speaking to the media in his first Chelsea press conference, Cucurella said when asked if he would want to be Chelsea's free-kick taker:

"No, I think the free-kicks are difficult. At Brighton, I take them, but here there are a lot of good players to take the free kicks. Maybe if I have the opportunity, I'll shoot one free-kick and score, 100%."He told the club's official website.

The Spaniard also revealed his favorite position, however, stating he is open to playing wherever the gaffer chooses:

"The three positions on the left side is good for me. I think my best position is left-back because I play all my career in the academies in this position. I have more movements and I stay more comfortable. But if the gaffer puts me in another position, I run as well and I need to be good for the team."

Cucurella no doubt, is already having a great start to life at Chelsea, with an assist on home debut. It would be great to see him take one of those free-kicks, and score. For sure.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
