The Chelsea Legend was full of praise for the Chelsea star who played through pains to help the Blues seal a 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday, despite being one man down.

John Terry was full of praise for Thiago Silva after his superb performance against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Brazil international will turn 38 next month, but has shown no signs of slowing down. He was rock-solid against the Foxes, winning 10 of his 11 duels alongside five tackles.

He also made four clearances, blocked two shots and completed 87 per cent of his passes. Silva looked jaded towards the end, but managed to carry on for the entire 90 minutes.

John Terry was full of praise for him.

The Chelsea Legend shared a Video of Thiago Silva receiving accolades from his teammates at the final whistle following his solid performance.

This of course is not the first time John Terry has shown his pure love for Thiago Silva's masterclass. The Chelsea Legend had once revealed he wished to share a pitch with the Brazilian:

"Absolutely love him. To be playing so well at his age in the best league is unbelievable. Just wish I could have played alongside him. He does everything so well without taking any risk & keeping things simple. Very lucky to have him at the club." John Terry had said.

Tuchel was also full of praise for Thiago Silva. Speaking in his post match briefing, Tuchel explained that the Brazilian was key to the Chelsea team:

"He's always key. Every player is key. It suited him to defend deep and in the box, around the box. This is what he loves and is very best in. That's why we changed to a back three in the second half with a man down."

Chelsea will be without the suspended Gallagher against Southampton on Tuesday, with Silva likely to start once again.

Silva could line up alongside a new teammate in the future, with Chelsea set to sign Wesley Fofana in the coming days.
