"He was screaming!" - Chelsea Legend reveals he noticed one Chelsea player yelling at his teammates in Leeds defeat.


Chelsea Legend & Pundit, Pat Nevin reveals he noticed Thiago Silva screaming at his teammates during the Chelsea vs Leeds United clash.  

Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the new season in emphatic fashion on Sunday afternoon, losing 3-0 away to rivals Leeds in the Premier League.
The Blues wrecked any optimism early in the campaign with a sloppy performance on the weekend.
Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno and Jack Harrison were on the scoresheet for Leeds. Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off for the visitors at Elland Road late into the contest, too.

BBC pundit Nevin claims Chelsea centre-back, Silva was visibly going mad at his players moments before Leeds scored a quick-fire double in the first half. Apparently, the 37-year-old sensed the danger and pressure building on his side: 

“That first 45 mins was brilliant by Jesse Marsch, the players did well and seemed to be everywhere making no space for Chelsea." Pat Nevin told BBC 5 Live.

"Any time Chelsea got the ball they were closed down by Leeds. Panic stations for Chelsea, Thiago Silva noticed it before the first goal, screaming to get his players closer together but didn’t move it quick enough. By the time they adapted they were five minutes too late and two goals down,” Nevin continued. 

This is not the first time Thiago Silva is showing such elite masterclass. Back in 2021, Thiago Silva screamed at his  teammates and tried to organize them, despite being 2 goals, and a man up against Atletico Madrid. 
Of course, the rest is history. Chelsea won the Champions League that year...

This time around, The Brazilian veteran sensed danger in Chelsea's sloppy play vs Leeds United and was quick to yell at his teammates to organize them, but they weren't quick enough to respond and by the time they adapted to Silva's organization call, they were already five minutes late and  2 goals down as per Pat Nevin. 

Going forward, Thomas Tuchel’s side need to quickly draw a line in the sand and move on from Sunday.

There’s now an important run of games ahead where they need to get some wins on the board to shoot up the league table.

They play Leicester City and West Ham within the next three games, who are both winless sat in the relegation zone during this early part of the season. Chelsea travel to Southampton in-between those matches as well.

It’s an uncertain time at Stamford Bridge right now with the transfer rumour mill in full flow, but the current team on the pitch need to grind out results before the final squad is assembled.
