Former Chelsea star leaves club after death threats.

The former Chelsea star confirmed he received death threats from fans after he lost games.

Former Chelsea star, Willian Borges has terminated his contract with Corinthians after confirming he received death threats from the fans.

"Saying goodbye to Corinthians today. I want to thank the club for the opportunity to wear this shirt again and to the fans who supported me.

"I wish the club all the best and may God bless everyone." Willian wrote on his official handle.

Confirming Willian's decision to leave the club, Corinthians President said:

"Willian asked us for his [contract] termination," Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro Alves said.

"We are sad not to have him any more and also because it didn't go the way we expected. But we have to keep those here that are happy."

Willian joined Corinthians last summer on a free transfer after terminating his deal with Arsenal and only spent one season with the club he started his career with. Corinthians have lost five of their past nine games, and Willian played in the second leg on Wednesday as the Brazilian side were knocked out of the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals by domestic rivals Flamengo. Willian confirmed death threats on even his family after losses in each game:

"Whenever Corinthians lost and I didn't play well, my family received threats and insults on social media - my wife, my children, and recently they also started attacking my father, my sister," Willian told the Globo Esporte website.

Following his departure from Corinthians, Willian has been linked with a return to the Premier League.

One club reportedly interested in Willian is Premier League side Fulham, reports GOAL. The Brazilian is on track to sign for the Cottagers and is said to want to return to England.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Willian is currently considering a move back to Europe:

"Former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian has signed termination of the contract with Corinthians. He wants a new challenge in Europe. 🚨🇧🇷 #transfers

Willian has made 259 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 38 goals and providing 38 assists. The winger also has two league titles, both won at Chelsea.

Willian won the League twice at Chelsea.

It was just last year, the last time the Brazilian was in the league with Arsenal, where he scored just one goal and assisted a further five for the Gunners in England’s top division.

Overall, Willian had a great career in England and many will be excited to see him return if the move to Fulham comes to fruition.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
