DONE DEAL: Chelsea complete signing of attacking midfielder from Southampton.

Chelsea have completed the signing of 16-year old attacking midfielder, Tyler Dibling from Southampton as confirmed by the Club's official Youth site on Twitter.

The Southampton wonderkid is regarded as one of the most gifted players to come out of the club’s youth academy in recent years.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Dibling was one of the rising stars in the Under-18 Premier League last season. Despite being 16, the English prodigy had racked up 18 appearances in the league and was involved in as many as nine goals. His blazing performances even saw him appear in a couple of games for Southampton’s reserve side.

It was a massive feat for a 16-year-old, especially for someone coming from a Southampton academy that has produced some fine players in the past. Dibling did not fail to impress in the Premier League 2 either, scoring three goals and mustering an assist in just the two games he was involved in.

 He joins Chelsea for £1.5m.

Confirming his move to Chelsea, the 16-year old wrote on his Instagram handle:

"Just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff and players @southamtonfc for these last 10 years at the club. I'm forever grateful for the opportunities that have been handed to me and wish the club all the best.

"I'm excited to join @chelseafc and can't wait to get started!"

Tyler Dibling will join the U18s side and continue his development.

Todd Boehly promised to strengthen all categories of the Chelsea squad - Male, female U15s, U16s & Youth. No doubt, with the addition of youngsters, he has fulfilled his promise and is building for the future.

What do you make of our new signing, Blues?

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
