"Come back home, Eden! You're still the best!" — Chelsea fans show massive support for Eden Hazard after penalty miss vs Celta Vigo.

Chelsea fans have shown massive support for Eden Hazard after a devastating penalty miss against Celta Vigo on Sunday night.

Eden Hazard's quest to find his best for Real Madrid suffered another setback. He was brought on as a late substitute for Vinicius Jr, against Celta Vigo, with Los Blancos 4-1 up and the three points all but secured. The Belgian was handed the chance to open his account for the season though, when he got the chance to take a penalty kick.

Eden Hazard had only featured for 7 minutes after coming on as substitute. Karim Benzema had shown great sportsmanship and had given Eden Hazard the penalty to play instead.

Unfortunately, Hazard failed to convert from the spot and while it did not have an impact on the result of the game, it surely would have been another blow to the Belgian’s confidence.

Hazard has gone through a torrid time ever since joining Real Madrid, after a magnificent run at Chelsea. Promises were made though that he will turn things around and be back to his best this season.

With his penalty miss against Celta Vigo, Hazard received the strongest criticism from his country side in Belgium.

As per Football Espãna, Kristof Terreur of Belgian paper, HLN was not impressed:

"Hazard, in reality, deserves silence. That Eden Hazard starts on the bench at Real Madrid should no longer be news. Now that discussion is not even worth having.

“Missing a penalty does not help to change the perception of his situation either.” He wrote.

However, Carlo Ancelotti and Chelsea fans have backed Eden Hazard to come good despite missing his penalty.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Ancelotti said:

“I am happy that Benzema gave the penalty to Eden, it doesn’t matter that he missed. Very good gesture from Karim with Hazard, who has played little, but is showing that he is coming back." Ancelotti added.

Hazard coming back to his best would be brilliant for Real Madrid, because at the top of his game, he is one of the best in the world.

He was simply unstoppable during his time at Chelsea. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Hazard scored 110 goals and provided 92 assists in 352 appearances for the Blues. On the other hand, he has scored 6 goals and assisted a further 10 in 67 games for Real Madrid.

Chelsea fans have also shown massive support for Eden Hazard in his tough spell, especially as the former Blue never missed a penalty at the Bridge. While some have backed him to succeed, others have asked him to come back to Stamford Bridge.

"He was in red hot form at the Bridge. All he needs is a return to his home. Come back to Chelsea, Eden." — one wrote.

"Missing a penalty does not change the fact that he remains the best. Eden will come good for Real Madrid."  Another wrote.

"Massive respect to Benzema for his excellent sportsmanship. Heads up, Eden, it's not the end of the world." Another opined.

Of course, as Chelsea fans, we all back Eden Hazard to succeed, and find his form, even if it means coming back to Stamford Bridge. But for the meantime, we wish him nothing but the best in the club he wanted to play for, since childhood.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
