Chelsea vs Tottenham: Early team news, lineup & where to watch.

The Blues will be back to Premier League action on Sunday, against Spurs at Stamford Bridge.

π„π€π‘π‹π˜ π“π„π€πŒ 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Thomas Tuchel will be without two key players, Marcos Alonso, and Mateo Kovacic with the former out of training to foster move to Barcelona, and the latter due to knee injury.

Speaking in his pre-match briefing ahead of Spurs, Tuchel confirmed their absence:

"He (Alonso) is not in training at the moment and trying to finalise his transfer so he will not be available for the game,” Tuchel told the club's official website.

“It’s the same for Kova, who is injured. He has issues with his knee, always a little bit of a reaction. We decided to take a step back and increase treatment time to reduce the stress that comes from training to have a normal reaction before we start again."

Apart from the duo, Chelsea have a fully fit squad to face Antonio Conte's Tottenham:

"Everybody else is available.” Tuchel added.

π“π„π€πŒ π’π„π‹π„π‚π“πˆπŽπ: Chelsea are likely to use a very similar lineup to the one that won 1-0 at Goodison Park last Saturday; one that also saw Kovacic out of the starting XI (but benched), including Marcos Alonso.

Big decision will be around Ben Chilwell’s fitness and whether to continue using him, despite his ongoing recovery from a major knee injury.

Marc Cucurella could be in line for his first start and home debut in west London.

Based on excellent run in pre-season, and in his official debut with Tuchel hinting on starting him against Spurs, Raheem Sterling could be in line for his official home debut as well, including the ever-solid Koulibaly.

New signing, Carney Chukwuemeka could hopefully get some minutes from the bench.

ππ‘π„πƒπˆπ‚π“π„πƒ π‹πˆππ„π”π: Here's how we think Chelsea could lineup to face Tottenham:

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...

‘Never forget’: Why Raheem Sterling will be wearing special boots dedicated to his sister against AC Milan. Raheem Sterling is a man who is never shy of telling the stories that have shaped his life. Chelsea star Raheem Sterling has had his new boots dedicated to his elder sister who used to take him to training on a bus before he became a Premier League super star. Sterling who grew up in Brent- just a few streets away from Wembley has a remarkable story of struggle and triumph, from abject poverty to stardom through the power of football. The 27-year-old was born in Jamaica but his mum moved to the UK in search of a better life and according to him, his elder sister called Lakima used to take him to training on a bus. The Chelsea star says his mum used to clean toilets and his sister used to take him on a journey that required three buses to get him to practice. In an astonishing show of gratitude- Sterling got New Balance to design his latest boots paying tribute to his sister ...
