Chelsea star accused of 'purposely' barging into referee vs Leeds.

The Chelsea star has been accused of barging into referee, Stuart Attwell in the second half play against Leeds.

Reece James has been accused of purposely barging into the back of referee Stuart Attwell during Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to Leeds.

Footage has emerged of Attwell walking backwards towards James, not looking where he’s going.

James can see the referee coming towards him but, instead of moving out of the way or warning him that he’s there, the Chelsea defender appears to barge into the back of Attwell

The referee turns around in confusion as James holds out his arms as if to question the referee. The incident happened in the second half.

Reactions have stormed social media following the video of Reece James 'deliberately' barging into Stuart Attwell.

Here are some of them:

It was a nightmare afternoon for Chelsea at Elland Road as they fell to a 3-0 defeat.

Brenden Aaronson gave the home side the lead as he dispossessed Edouard Mendy to roll the ball into an empty net.Four minutes later, it was 2-0 as Rodrigo continued his fine form to head home from a free-kick.

The win was sealed when Jack Harrison made it 3-0 with 20 minutes remaining.

And the afternoon went from terrible to disastrous for Thomas Tuchel’s side as summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly was shown a second yellow card in the 84th minute by Attwell. Despite the heavy loss, Tuchel refused to give Leeds any credit:

“Everything that can go wrong, did go wrong,” said the Chelsea boss. “It started yesterday. We had no plane arrive so we came on the bus. The players could fly but for the coaching staff it was a long ride on the bus.“It is nothing to do with pressing, nothing to do with running less kilometres and nothing to do with the style of Leeds. I don’t see the connection that we lost to the style of Leeds.

“For you, this is the story, for me it is not. It is more our fault than anybody else’s credit.” Tuchel added.

Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.

OPINION: Graham Potter has succeeded in these three areas where Tuchel failed.  The Blues were back in Premier League action on Saturday, and had sealed a 3-0 victory over Wolves at the Bridge.  The game had seen goals come from the Blues' attacking options, something which had rarely been seen in the Tuchel era.  Not just that, there were noticeable changes and improvement in team set up that were not seen under the former German Boss. All of which will be highlighted below.  Firstly, the handing of debut to Chelsea's signing, Carney Chukwuemeka. Graham Potter's choice to hand one of his starlets a debut demonstrates the trust that he has in the young players at Stamford Bridge that can help him through a tricky run. It's harder than it seems to just trust the youth though.  Tuchel struggled to fully implement the pathway desired and was always focused on the here and now, the short term. He felt warmth with experience. Potter already looks to have brough...
