Chelsea are set to beat French outfit, OGC Nice to sign Inter Milan midfielder, Cesare Casadei, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Casadei is yet to make his senior professional debut for Inter, but is viewed as one of the hottest prospects in Italian football.

Chelsea had seen their £12m bid turned down by Inter Milan for the 19-year old and the Blues are ready to make a new, improved offer of over £15m for him, Fabrizio Romano reports.

As per Daily Mail, it is believed Casadei would initially be brought in as an academy signing, with a view to eventually bedding the Italian youth international into the first team.

It has also been reported that if Chelsea were successful in their pursuit, he may be loaned back to Serie A to continue his development.
